Nor'easters Barbershop Chorus

Events & Activities

Getting ready to sing the national anthem at Hadlock Field, August 2008. During the game with the visiting team at bat, the chorus sang "TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALL GAME". At the end of the song their shout of "THREE STRIKES YOU'RE OUT" was most influential in the visitors swing and a miss. Spectators in the vicinity were ecstatic and wanted more.

Rehearsal in the Curtis Room of the Chocolate Church in 2008

Tuesday night rehearsal on the risers.  With "snow birds" in the winter and family reunions in the summer the typical complement is 15. We'd love to have more basses to help us perfect our "ensemble sound". Besides, there is a fourth set of risers not shown. In 2009 we moved our rehearsals to the Education Building of the Maine Maritime Museum at 229 Washington Street in Bath, Maine.

Winter

Last December, members of the chorus split into two groups to entertain at various nursing homes and assisted living complexes in the Midcoast Maine area.

The chorus provided entertainment for the inaugural run of the CANDY CANE EXPRESS in 2006, and have been invited every year thereafter. This activity is a terrific fund raiser for LITERACY VOLUNTEERS. The eight round trips between Bath and Wiscasset have been selling out every year.

and in December 2009

The chorus performed at Morse High School's Winter Concert. Pictured above are the men of Morse singing "Christmas Chopsticks". If you look closely, you'll see that they are backed up by our SPARE PARTS quartet.
